What is a trackback? A trackback is a technique that allows trackback-enabled blogs (like WordPress; my blog is enabled too) to automatically notify each other that a comment or link to your site has been placed on someone's blog. How does it benefit you to use a trackback to BrentRiggsMoney.com on my blog? Because when your blog automatically "pings" (notifies) my blog, I record that information in my database. I then display your trackback information on my site (your link, blog post title, and an excerpt). I'm now linked from your site, and you are linked from mine. One of the greatest factors in searching engine rankings and It's a win/win for us both. Actually, it's more of a win for the "lesser known" site, because being ranked to sites with much more traffic increases your ranking more. So unless you are a more popular, or more visited site than mine, trackback is helping you even more than helping me. Just copy the TRACKBACK link and follow your BLOG instructions on how to use it. VERY IMPORTANT: make sure you create a link to my blog post on your blog (somewhere in your blog article) using the PERMANENT link to my article. Just using the trackback link does not link your blog to mine. You'll find both links under each article similar to this:
